Shortstop Wander Franco left Friday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers in the top of the first inning with what appears to be a leg injury.

Franco, who singled in the top of the first inning off Tyler Alexander to extend his on-base streak to 39 consecutive games, appeared to pull up going into third base on Nelson Cruz‘s base hit.

Joey Wendle came in to pinch-run for Franco, and took his spot in the field in the bottom of the inning.
