Roe Heads To Injured List

The Rays Monday also placed reliever Chaz Roe on the 15-day injured list with what the team is calling a right shoulder strain.

Roe, who signed with the team at the very beginning of Spring Training, pitched Friday against Miami, getting the first two outs of the seventh inning before allowing a triple and a walk.  Both runners would eventually come around to score, though the Rays would eventually come back and win 6-4.

To take his place on the active roster, right-hander Chris Mazza, who is on th team’s taxi squad, was recalled from the alternate training site.
