The Tampa Bay Rays announced plans for fans to attend Spring Training games at Charlotte Sports Park for the 2021 Grapefruit League season.
Like the regular season at Tropicana Field, there will be no season tickets sold for the 2021 Grapefruit League. Single-game tickets will go on sale beginning Friday, February 26 at 10:00 am. Prior Spring Training season ticket holders will get an opportunity to purchase single-game tickets for 2021 at a 10 percent discount through an exclusive presale.
Tickets will be available in pods of two or four seats, and because of social distancing protocols, the capacity of Charlotte Sports Park will be reduced. The Rays did not specify the exact capacity for 2021. Fans will be required to wear masks at all times expect when actively eating or drinking in their seat.
All tickets will be mobile, and available on the MLB Ballpark app (free on iOS and Android). Papr tickets, including print-at-home, and PDF versions, will not be accepted. Details can be found at raysbaseball.com/mobile
Games through March 13 are scheduled to be seven innings, though they can be shortened to as little as five or lengthened to as many as nine innings by managers’ agreement. Games from March 14 onward are scheduled for nine innings, though they can be shortened to as little as seven by the same agreement.
