Hamstring Sidelines Margot

After trying to play the last two nights through hamstring discomfort, the Rays placed outfielder Manuel Margot on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right hamstring strain.

Margot initially suffered the injury in Monday evening’s loss to the Los Angeles Angels, and missed Tuesday and Wednesday’s games in Anaheim.  He returned to DH both Friday, driving in the winning run to beat Toronto, and Saturday, when he had two hits in Tampa Bay’s 5-1 loss.

To take Margot’s place on the active roster, reliever Ralph Garza was recalled from Triple-A Durham.
