Archer Among Rays Pitchers Throwing Live Batting Practice

A handful of Rays pitchers scheduled to throw today will not be in today’s Grapefruit League game, but instead work on the back fields in Port Charlotte in live batting practice settings.

Chris Archer, Hunter Strickland, Phoenix Sanders, Jeffrey Springs, Yacksel Rios and Andrew Kittredge will all work on the practice fields at Charlotte Sports Park, throwing to hitters with some players behind them in defense, but not a full group of infielders and outfielders.
