Kiermaier Returns From Paternity Leave

Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier rejoined the team Saturday after his wife Marisa gave birth to the couple’s second child on Tuesday.  He told reporters before Saturday’s contest it’s been a wild week for him.

“Not a whole lot of sleep,”  Kiermaier acknowledged.  “But you know what?  My wife’s in the same boat.  I know she’ll probably listen to this at some point, so I can’t act sit here like it’s the hardest thing ever, because Marisa has it way worse than me.”

The outfielder says both wife and baby Krew Jax are home from the hospital and healthy.
