Feyereisen Heads To IL, Mazza Recalled
Prior to Wednesday’s contest, the Rays placed reliever J.P. Feyereisen on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder discomfort.
After a strong start with Tampa Bay after being acquired from Milwaukee in the trade for Willy Adames May 21, the right-hander has allowed eight hits and seven runs, five earned, while walking five in his his five outings, encompassing 4 2/3 innings.
To take Feyereisen’s spot on the active roster, right-hander Chris Mazza was recalled from Triple-A Durham.
