Feyereisen On Shelf As Rays Finish Homestand With O’s

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to finish off a series victory against the Baltimore Orioles with a victory in the rubber match of the three-game set.  Michael Wacha (2-2, 5.14 ERA) will get the start, taking on Alexander Wells (1-0, 3.86 ERA).  First pitch is scheduled for 12:10.

Feyereisen Heads To IL, Mazza Recalled

Prior to Wednesday’s contest, the Rays placed reliever J.P. Feyereisen on the 10-day injured list with right shoulder discomfort.

After a strong start with Tampa Bay after being acquired from Milwaukee in the trade for Willy Adames May 21, the right-hander has allowed eight hits and seven runs, five earned, while walking five in his his five outings, encompassing 4 2/3 innings.

To take Feyereisen’s spot on the active roster, right-hander Chris Mazza was recalled from Triple-A Durham.
