How MLB Rules Experiments Could Harm More Than They Help

We are only a couple of weeks away from the start of the 2021 regular season, and Steve Carney discusses how the biggest obstacle players may have to deal with this year isn’t the health and safety protocols, but the grind of going through a six-month, 162-game slate dealing with the protocols.  He talks with infielder Brandon Lowe about what sort of preparations he’s made for going back to a 162 game marathon.

Also, a pair of injuries could significantly change the projections for the Opening Day roster.  Finally, former Rays pitcher and Tampa Bay area youth baseball coach Seth McClung stops by to talk about the experiments Major League Baseball is conducting with rules in the minors, and how it could alter not only how pros play the game, but how those players looking to become professionals get coached.
