Tampa Bay Rays flagship radio station WDAE, and St. Pete Nine have agreed to a content-sharing partnership for the 2021 MLB season.
The deal will see St. Pete Nine founder and publisher Steve Carney appear exclusively weekly on each of WDAE’s local sports talk shows. He will appear on Beckles and Recher Monday afternoons, the Pat and Aaron show Wednesday afternoons, and Ronnie and TKras Friday mornings.
In addition, WDAE listeners will get snippets of content produced for St. Pete Nine on the station’s Rays blog with an opportunity to read more here.
Steve Carney is the founder and publisher of St. Pete Nine. One of the people most associated with baseball coverage in Tampa Bay, he spent 13 seasons covering the Rays for flagship radio station WDAE, first as producer of Rays Radio broadcasts, then as beat reporter beginning in 2011. He likes new analytics and aged bourbon, and is the owner of one of the ugliest knuckleballs ever witnessed by baseball scouts.
