The Tampa Bay Rays saw another piece of their pitching staff go down to injury Tuesday, as right-handed starter Michael Wacha was placed on the 10-day injured list with tightness in his right hamstring.

Wacha, 29, last pitched on Sunday against Houston, allowing four runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings of work, not faring in the decision as the Rays rallied to beat the Astros.  In four starts ans a pair of relief appearances, he has compiled a 1-1 record and a 4.76 earned run average.

To take his place on the active roster, pitcher Collin McHugh, who has been on the injured list with a lower back strain, was activated.
