Mangum To Make MLB Debut
Outfielder Jake Mangum is slated to make his Major League debut Sunday, starting in right field and hitting second in the order.
The 29-year-old was added to the active roster Saturday when outfielder Josh Lowe was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain. He was acquired by the Rays as part of the November 2023 trade that sent infielder Vidal Brujan and reliever Calvin Faucher to the Miami Marlins. After spending all of 2024 with Triple-A Durham and a slash line of .317/.358/.442, he had a breakout spring in 2025. He finished the Grapefruit League with a 1.217 OPS, a pair of home runs and nine RBI.

He likes new analytics and aged bourbon, and is the owner of one of the ugliest knuckleballs ever witnessed by baseball scouts.
