The Tampa Bay Rays have announced that they have placed pitchers Shane McClanahan and Matt Wisler on the 10-day injured list Friday, saying that McClanahan has a lower back issue while Wisler has experienced a recurrence of inflammation in his right middle finger.

McClanahan has thrown 110 1/3 innings this season, going 9-5 with a 3.59 ERA in 23 starts, the last of which came Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox, when he pitched five shutout innings.

Wisler has made 25 appearances out of the bullpen for the Rays, and 21 more with the San Francisco Giants prior to his trade to Tampa Bay.  With the Rays, he is 2-3 with a 2.30 ERA.  He was on the injured list until Wednesday, when he faced one batter and left with the recurrence of inflammation.

Pitchers Dietrich Enns and Louis Head have been recalled from Triple-A Durham to take their spots on the active roster.
