Lowe Heading To IL With Back Issue
Manager Kevin Cash said prior to Monday’s game that second baseman Brandon Lowe is very likely heading to the 10-day injured list, as he has been dealing with a lower back issue.
Kevin Cash says 2B Brandon Lowe has a lower back issue, which is why he is not in the lineup today. Lowe is expected to go on the IL. #Rays

Lowe is seeing a doctor today in St. Petersburg in order to determine the severity of the issue, and infielder Isaac Paredes is on his way up from Triple-A Durham to take his spot on the active roster, though it is unknown if he will arrive before the game.
Meadows Not Seeing His Former Team
Tampa Bay will have one less opposing bat to worry about for this series, as the team placed outfielder Austin Meadows on the 10-day injured list with vertigo.
Meadows played Sunday for the Tigers in Baltimore after missing a couple of games dealing with an inner-ear infection, but was lifted after just one inning.
Outfielder Daz Cameron was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to take his place on the active roster.
