Mazza On IL, Poche Brought Up From Durham

Prior to Friday’s game with the Red Sox, Tampa Bay added another pitcher to their walking wounded list, placing right-hander Chris Mazza on the 10-day injured list with lower back spasms.

Mazza has appeared in two games for the Rays this season, compiling a 1-0 record and a 11.81 ERA, having allowed nine runs, seven earned, in 5 1/3 innings.

To take his place on the active roster, reliever Colin Poche has been recalled from Triple-A Durham.
