The Rays have made another change to their pitching staff as they get ready for Saturday night’s contest against the Minnesota Twins, selecting left-hander Adam Conley from Triple-A Durham.
The 31-year-old signed a minor-league deal with Tampa Bay May 16 after spending nine seasons in the Marlins organization. He was last in the majors in 2019, when he went 2-11 with a 6.53 ERA in 60 relief appearances.
To make room for Conley on the active roster, right-hander Evan Phillips, who earned the save by pitching the final three innings Friday night, was designated for assignment.
