Walls Reinstated From IL

Prior to Saturday’s game, the Rays reinstated shortstop Taylor Walls from the 10-day injured list.

The 23-year-old was placed on the injured list June 24, retroactive to June 23, with right wrist tendinitis.  He missed eight games with the injury.

To make room on the active roster for Walls, Friday night’s starter, Luis Patino, was optioned to Triple-A Durham after the game.
