Major League Baseball released the 2022 scheduled for all 30 teams on Wednesday, and for the Tampa Bay Rays, it means another season starting away from home.

For the second consecutive season, the Rays will begin the year away from the friendly confines of Tropicana Field.  After starting 2021 in Miami, Tampa Bay will begin next season at Fenway Park in Boston with a three-game series beginning on Thursday, March 31, and continuing on April 2-3.  The Rays will also travel to two other cold weather cities in the first month, with a three-game series in Toronto April 4-6, and six games in Chicago against both the White Sox (April 15-17) and Cubs (April 18-20).

The home opener will take place Friday, April 8 against Baltimore.

Interleague opponents coming to Tropicna Field include the Miami Marlins (May 24-25), the St. Louis Cardinals (June 7-9), Pittsburgh Pirates (June 24-26), and Milwaukee Brewers (June 28-29).
