Eflin Returns From Injured List, Perez Dropped
The Rays officially activated starter Zach Eflin from the 15-day injured list Sunday morning to make the start for the game against the White Sox.
Eflin missed a pair of starts after going on the IL April 10 when he experienced tightness in his lower back following his start a few days earlier against Oakland.
To make room on the roster for Eflin, pitcher Hector Perez, who had been selected Saturday, was designated for assignment.
Diaz OK After Dehydration
First baseman Yandy Diaz is back in the starting lineup Sunday after being forced out of Saturday’s win with dehydration.
The 31-year-old said after Saturday’s game that he was feeling better and joked about getting a water dispenser installed at his locker.
