Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi was removed from Monday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays in Dunedin in the fourth inning with what the team is calling right knee soreness.
Choi walked in both the first and third innings, and did not appear to have any issues in the field.
The 30-year-old has played in just eight games this season after missing the first month-plus of the year with soreness with that knee which required arthroscopic surgery.
Mike Brosseau took over for Choi at first base.
