Castillo Officially Returns From IL

The Tampa Bay Rays made the return of closer Diego Castillo official Friday, activating him from the 10-day injured list Friday.

“I feel super good,” the 24-year-old reliever said Friday.  “I feel super happy that I’m able to return and I’m super happy that I’m here to be alongside my teammates.”

Castillo was initially placed on the injured list May 5, retroactive to May 4, with right groin tightness.  To make room on the active roster for Castillo, reliever Louis Head was optioned to Durham after Thursday’s win over the New York Yankees.
