The Rays announced Friday that outfielder Randy Arozarena has been placed on the COVID-19 injured list after being labeled as a close contact.
The team has not said if Arozarena has tested positive, but because he has been identified as having close contact tact with someone who has tested positive, he was placed on the list.
To take his spot on the active roster, outfielder Jordan Luplow, who was acquired at the trade deadline from Cleveland, has been recalled from Triple-A Durham.
