Tuesday, I joined Ronnie and TKras on Sports Radio 95.3 WDAE to talk all things Rays.
With the “sister-city concept” officially in the rear-view mirror for the team, the Rays must now look to try and determine if a full-time stadium in the area is a viable solution for the team’s long-term future. I talked with the guys about what I think could be in the future for Rays fans politically and financially, plus what sort of timeline is needed for that to happen. We also get into the lockout as well, and how another day of negotiations doesn’t mean the end is near, but is still a good sign.

Steve Carney is the founder and publisher of St. Pete Nine. One of the people most associated with baseball coverage in Tampa Bay, he spent 13 seasons covering the Rays for flagship radio station WDAE, first as producer of Rays Radio broadcasts, then as beat reporter beginning in 2011. He likes new analytics and aged bourbon, and is the owner of one of the ugliest knuckleballs ever witnessed by baseball scouts.
