As we are on the eve of the next season of baseball beginning, it seems only fitting to go back to Game 4 of the 2020 World Series one final time to watch how the Rays were able to come back from down 7-6 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth against against Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen.
You can hear from Game 4 starter Ryan Yarbrough, shortstop Willy Adames, outfielder Austin Meadows, outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (who scored the tying run), outfielder Randy Arozarena (who scored the winning run), and of course, pinch-hitter Brett Phillips.

Steve Carney is the founder and publisher of St. Pete Nine. One of the people most associated with baseball coverage in Tampa Bay, he spent 13 seasons covering the Rays for flagship radio station WDAE, first as producer of Rays Radio broadcasts, then as beat reporter beginning in 2011. He likes new analytics and aged bourbon, and is the owner of one of the ugliest knuckleballs ever witnessed by baseball scouts.
