The Tampa Bay Rays filled the open position on the 40-man Major League roster Tuesday, signing reliever Chris Devenski to a one-year deal with a club option for 2025. The deal was first reported by Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
As they’ve been talking about since end of season, #Rays re-signed reliever Chris Devenski to a 1-year deal with a 2025 option. ESPN had it first. Devenski was 3-2, 2.08 in 9 games for Rays, signed after being released by #Angels in late August.

Devenski was signed by the Rays on August 29 after being released by the Los Angeles Angels, and went 3-2 with a 2.08 earned run average in nine regular season appearances with Tampa Bay. He also threw two scoreless innings in Game 1 of the Wild Card series against Texas.
According to Topkin’s report, Devenski will get $1 million in 2024, not including incentive bonuses and pay escalators, and his 2025 club option would be worth $2 million if picked up or he would get $100,000 if bought out.
