Rays Recall Criswell For Series Finale
The Rays announced Sunday morning that they had recalled pitcher Cooper Criswell from Triple-A Durham, who appears likely to work the bulk innings for the finale against the Brewers.
Sunday marks Criswell’s second stint this season with the big league club this year after working a pair of contests in mid-April. The 26-year-old sports no record and a 6.75 ERA with the Rays, but a 1-1 mark and a 3.38 ERA with the Bulls in six starts and a bulk appearance.
To make room on the active roster for Criswell, reliever Ryan Thompson was optioned to Durham.
