Franco Hopes To Return Soon

Shortstop Wander Franco missed Saturday’s win and is not in the lineup today, but said before the game that he hopes to return to the lineup soon.

Franco has dealt with hamstring and quad issues in both legs over the first couple of months of the season, and admitted Sunday that he is still adjusting to playing on the Tropicana Field turf.

The 21-year-old has just two hits — both singles — in his last 34 at-bats dating back to May 10.
