Interest in having Tampa Bay Rays bench coach Matt Quatraro as a Major League manager has continued this week, as he received a second interview for the open position with the New York Mets on Tuesday, as reported by Buster Olney of ESPN.

Astros coach Joe Espada will be interviewed Thursday.

Quatraro is one of three finalists for the job, joining former Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees manager Buck Showalter and Houston Astros bench coach Joe Espada.
The 48-year-old bench coach has also interviewed for the vacant Oakland Athletics position. Oakland and the Mets are the only two teams remaining with open managerial jobs.
