Archer Has Setback In Rehab Outing
Rays pitcher Chris Archer, scheduled to throw five innings or 75 pitches tonight in his latest rehab start for the Triple-A Durham Bulls, left his outing against the Norfolk Tides after just one inning with what the team is calling left hip soreness.
The team called the removal precautionary, and said that the right-hander was having trouble with his footing on the mound at Harbor Park in Norfolk.
The 32-year-old has been on the injured list since April 10 with bilateral tightness in his right forearm.
