Rays Send Roe On Rehab Assignment
The Rays also announced Monday that relief pitcher Chaz Roe, who has been sidelined since April 5 with a strained right shoulder, will report to the Durham Bulls on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.
Manager Kevin Cash said Roe pitched to hitters for the first time last week at the team’s Spring Training facility in Port Charlotte, and that all signs have been encouraging for the 34-year-old.
Roe is eligible to come off the 60-day injured list June 3, but it appears likely that he will continue on rehab assignment despite being eligible to be activated.
